Clador ForgeStream highlights to Shorts

How to use Clador Forge, from start to finish

This guide takes you from creating an account to your first published short. You do not need any editing skills, and most steps are done only once.

One key press: from a moment in your stream to a short on your connected networks.

Before you start

  • A computer with Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit).
  • OBS Studio, the free program for streaming and recording. Download it from the official OBS website.
  • An account on at least one of these networks: YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or Facebook.

Step 1Create your account

On this site, create a Clador Forge account. If you sign up with an email address and a password, we send a code to your email. Enter it to confirm your address.

Then choose a plan on the Pricing page. If you are a new subscriber, your plan starts with a 7-day trial. A payment card is needed to start it, and if you cancel within those 7 days, you pay nothing. A repeat purchase, for example after a refund, has no trial and is charged at checkout.

Step 2Download and install the app

Go to the Download page, download the installer for Windows and follow the steps on screen. Then open Clador Forge.

Step 3Sign in to the app

Sign in the same way you signed up on the site: with Google if you used Google, or with your email and password. If the app opens your browser to finish signing in, follow the steps there and come back to the app.

Step 4Connect OBS

Follow the OBS setup step in Clador Forge. The app connects through the WebSocket server, a feature built into OBS that lets the two programs talk to each other. Think of it as a private cable between them on your computer.

Then turn on the Replay Buffer. This OBS feature keeps the last moments of your stream ready, so you can save a moment just after it happens. In OBS:

  • Open “Settings” → “Output”.
  • Tick “Enable Replay Buffer”.
  • Set “Maximum Replay Time” to choose how much recent footage OBS keeps.
  • Click “Apply”, then “OK”.
  • Click “Start Replay Buffer” in the “Controls” panel.

If your OBS is in another language, these names are translated.

The Replay Buffer keeps the last moments of your stream, so you can save a moment just after it happens.

Step 5Choose the key that saves a moment

In Clador Forge, open the trigger settings and choose the keyboard shortcut that saves a moment. By default it is Alt + Numpad 5. Pick one that does not get in the way of your game controls.

If you prefer, turn on the voice trigger and save a moment with a spoken command.

Step 6Connect your social networks

In the app's publishing settings, connect the networks where you want to post: YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels or Facebook Reels. Each network opens its own sign-in page, and you sign in there. Your plan decides how many networks you can connect.

Then set your publishing times in the app.

Step 7Go live and press the key

Open OBS, start its Replay Buffer and open Clador Forge. Keep both programs running while you stream or record.

When something worth sharing happens, press your key. That is all: keep playing while Clador Forge prepares the video.

Step 8What happens next

Clador Forge makes a vertical short from the saved moment. It places your gameplay and webcam, adds captions, and writes a title, a description and hashtags.

The short appears as a card in the app's calendar, at the next free publishing time. If today's times are taken, it goes to the next free one. At the scheduled time, the short is published automatically: you do not need to press anything.

Step 9Watch, change or cancel before publishing (optional)

This step is optional: shorts are published without it. If you want, click a short's card in the calendar to watch it, trim it, or change its time, title or description. Changes are possible until 30 minutes before the publishing time. After that, the short is being prepared and editing closes. You remain responsible for what is posted.

You can cancel a short until it is published.

Each short gets a card in the calendar. Open it to watch, change or cancel the short.

Step 10See your published shorts

Published shorts move to History in the app. You can also find them on your channels as usual.

Step 11What each plan includes

  • Creator Starter: 1 short per day, up to 30 seconds long, on 1 social network.
  • Creator Pro: 2 shorts per day, each up to 90 seconds long, on up to 4 social networks, plus premium caption styles.

Current prices are on the Pricing page.

Step 12Common problems and simple fixes

  • The app says “OBS is not reachable”. Make sure OBS is open and its WebSocket server is turned on. Then run the connection test again in the app's OBS setup step.
  • The app says “OBS password was rejected”. In OBS, open “Tools” → “WebSocket Server Settings” → “Show Connect Info”. Copy the password again and paste it in the app's OBS setup step.
  • Nothing happens when I press the key. Check that the OBS Replay Buffer is started and that Clador Forge is open and listening. Then save a short test moment.
  • No new card appears in the calendar. Make sure you are signed in to the app, and check your plan on your account page.
  • A social network does not connect. Check how many networks your plan allows. Then connect the network again in the app's publishing settings.
  • The captions are wrong. Check that the right caption language is selected. Clear speech and less background noise help.
  • A card says “Needs attention”. Open the card and follow the message. Often it is enough to connect the network again.
  • I cannot sign in. Sign in the same way you signed up. If you used an email and a password, choose “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page of this site. If you used Google, sign in with Google.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need OBS?

Yes. Clador Forge works with OBS Studio, the free program for streaming and recording. It saves moments through the OBS Replay Buffer.

Does it work on Mac?

Not yet. The Clador Forge app runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).

Can I turn my Twitch stream into TikTok videos?

Yes. It does not matter where you stream. If you stream with OBS, Clador Forge can turn your highlights into shorts for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and Facebook Reels.

What is the Replay Buffer?

It is an OBS feature that keeps the last moments of your stream ready to save. When you press your key, those moments are saved as a clip.

Do I have to approve every short?

No. Shorts are published automatically at their scheduled time in your calendar. If you want to check one, you can change it until 30 minutes before publishing, and cancel it until it is published.

Which social networks are supported?

YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels and Facebook Reels. Your plan decides how many you can connect.

How many shorts can I post per day?

Creator Starter includes 1 short per day, and Creator Pro includes 2 shorts per day.

Can I change the title, the description and the captions?

You can change the title and the description until 30 minutes before publishing. Captions are made automatically: you can pick their style, but not edit their text.

Which languages are supported?

Captions, titles and descriptions can be made in English, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, German, French and Hebrew.

Will Clador Forge get me more views?

We cannot promise views, followers or income. Clador Forge helps you post more of your best moments, more often. Results depend on your content, the networks and your audience.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. A new subscriber gets one 7-day trial on either plan, with full access. A payment card is needed when you start the trial, but nothing is charged during the trial, so there is nothing to refund. If you cancel within the 7 days, you pay nothing. After the trial, your plan renews monthly on the same date until you cancel. There is one trial per person: a repeat purchase, for example after a refund, has no trial and is charged at checkout. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Ask for it with the refund form on your account page. We refund the unused whole days of your current paid period. You have 48 hours to change your mind; after that, the refund goes through automatically and your access ends. During the free trial nothing is charged, so there is nothing to refund. After a refund you can subscribe again, but without a new free trial. The money goes back to your original payment method through our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy; how fast it arrives depends on your bank. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

How do I cancel my plan?

You can cancel at any time on the public Cancel subscription page without signing in, on your account page, by email to support@cladorforge.com, by phone (oral notice), or by registered post using the details in our Legal Notice. Renewal stops at once, and the contract ends for billing within 3 business days at the latest. You keep access until the end of the period already paid for, or the trial. Cancellation alone does not refund unused days; request a refund for that. A downgrade from Creator Pro to Creator Starter takes effect at the period end, without a refund. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
